MY STORY
All my life, I’ve been inclined to create. Whether art, music, or crafts, I’ve always found joy, fulfillment, and purpose in creating beauty that can be shared with others.
Growing up, I was encouraged by my parents to pursue my talents and interests. I participated in art classes, projects, and contests. I spent a lot of time in my dad’s office after school and on weekends. I would use copy paper, scissors, and tape to make three dimensional figures, draw landscapes in markers, or practice calligraphy with pens.
I’ve always felt the most authentically myself when I’m creating. It’s who I am.
In high school, I spent a significant amount of time in art related classes, to the extent that they created an Art V class for me. When I graduated and moved on to college, I decided to pursue my Bachelors in Fine Art. I was exposed to different mediums, techniques, and art perspectives.
After college, I began a career in graphic design and served as a worship leader. In the busyness of life, my passion for fine art took a backseat. Years passed, and I didn’t realize the toll it had taken on my mental and emotional health to neglect that part of myself.
I am excited to see all the beauty I find in my everyday as I explore creatively!
